You can now use PayPal to join or renew your membership. 
Membership application process:
  1. Enroll and renew using PayPal. You may also print out application and mail in your check.
  2. The VMC Treasurer gets notified via email of your enrollment (assuming PayPal).
  3. In either case, PayPal or check, the Treasurer batches up (for data entry efficiency) enrollments, and enters into accounting system.
  4. Treasurer sends the VMC Secretary all the enrollment invoices for the batch. This occurs approximately twice a month.
  5. The Secretary submits a membership card request to the card vendor. This is also done in a batch for efficiency (we don't make our own cards). Emails are also sent out notifying new members of their membership number. Renewal members get an email, as well, with recent news.
  6. The Secretary receives the cards from the vendor, then prints out mailing labels & introductory letters, stuff the envelops with patches and membership card. Stamp, seal, etc....

The entire process takes about 4 weeks...sometimes a bit longer, sometimes a bit less. PayPal takes away the hassle of printing a form and mailing it in. Since our back office software is not integrated into the PayPal system there remains many manual procedures. Someday in the future, we hope to be more automated. Thank you for your patience!
